Medical Manager (Northern Italy)About the roleFor our dynamic, growing, and innovative Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role is ideal for someone who dares to think beyond the conventional pharma MSL role and wants to operate autonomously with an entrepreneurial spirit. It offers the opportunity to develop broadly by engaging in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily activities.You will join a team of 2 Medical Managers in Italy and will be responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and execution of medical projects. Additionally, you will provide Medical Affairs support to Sales and Marketing colleagues, requiring a demonstrable affinity for identifying commercial opportunities. The candidate must reside in Italy and be fluent in English for communication with the European Management team, reporting to the Lead Medical Managers Europe based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.Major tasks & responsibilitiesDevelop and execute Medical Affairs strategies and scientific projects, including scientific publications and advisory boards.Identify and build peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs, influencers, and healthcare leaders, utilizing evidence-based information.Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, especially in melanoma.Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients.Provide business support to Italian marketing, commercial, and market access teams.Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progression.Ensure timely, compliant, and ethical dissemination of clinical and scientific information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds.Develop connections with national, regional, and local networks in Derma-oncology and other potential therapeutic areas.Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries.Support colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content for speakers.Education & Qualifications (Graduate/Post Graduate)Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree.Driver’s license.Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or Medical Manager in the innovative pharmaceutical industry.At least 1 year of experience in a commercial function within the pharmaceutical industry.Native Italian speaker and fluent in English.Desirable qualifications include dermatology or oncology experience and familiarity with Early Access Programs in Italy.Technical skills & job-specific competenciesStrong scientific knowledge.Strategic thinking.Knowledge in dermatology or oncology.Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance.Excellent teaching and presentation skills.Flexibility and patience.Positive, creative mindset and enjoyment of field interactions with HCPs.
