Job Overview
For our dynamic and growing Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we seek an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role requires someone who dares to think beyond traditional pharma MSL roles and wishes to operate autonomously in an entrepreneurial manner. It offers broad development opportunities by engaging in various aspects of the business and managing your own daily activities.
Team and Location
You will join a team of 3 Medical Managers in Italy, responsible for Medical Affairs strategy and project execution. You will also support Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities. The candidate must reside in Italy and speak English for communication with the European Management team, which is based across Europe, including offices in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe.
Major Tasks & Responsibilities
Develop and execute Medical Affairs strategies and scientific projects, including publications and advisory boards.
Build peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and other influencers in the scientific and healthcare community, based on scientific evidence.
Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma.
Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs for melanoma patients.
Support business activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for basal cell carcinoma in Italy.
Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor progress.
Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline compounds ethically and timely.
Establish and support networks in Derma-oncology and future TAs.
Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to HCP inquiries.
Support colleagues in organizing HCP events with medical content.
Education and Qualifications
Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree.
Driver’s license.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as MSL or Medical Manager in innovative pharma.
At least 1 year in a commercial pharma role.
Native Italian speaker and fluent in English.
Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience.
Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.
