Job Description
We are looking for a Medical Content Developer to support our Medical Information function. The role works primarily from home, requires a valid EU or UK work permit, and focuses on developing, managing, and providing impactful medical response documents for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Manager of Medical Content Development on content‑development engagements for integrated commercialization deals and independent Medical Information projects.
Create scientific content such as Scientific Response Documents, FAQs, slide sets, abstracts, posters, education materials, and more.
Lead the document development process from material gathering to review facilitation at medical, legal, and regulatory meetings.
Use EVERSANA’s or client‑provided document‑management platforms (e.g., Veeva PromoMats / MedComms) to upload, reference, and annotate documents.
Perform scientific data fact‑checking for documents that support medical reviewers in MLR teams.
Collaborate with the manager on strategy, execution, and communication for assigned projects.
Participate in key client meetings as required.
Support the preparation of thought‑leadership articles, newsletters, publications, congress presentations, slides, and blogs.
Update SOPs, checklists, templates, style guides, and guidance documents.
Mentor team members and assist with hiring and onboarding.
Stay current with industry best practices and help implement new tools to improve quality and efficiency.
Work collaboratively with other medical writers and creative teams across EVERSANA.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.
EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB
Deliver client delight and high‑quality, scientifically accurate, ethically compliant medical content.
Provide independent, strategic, and proactive support to clients and internal teams.
Maintain industry standards and company compliance in all deliverables.
Manage quality issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
Possibly travel up to 10–15% for client meetings.
Work full time with flexible scheduling to meet client and business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Doctorate or Master of Science (MSc) in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry or Medical Information/Communications service provider, with a proven track record of creating global medical information materials.
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to summarize complex information independently.
Strong ability to interface with all levels of management and succeed in a matrixed team environment.
Proficient editing skills and expertise in Microsoft Office, Acrobat, and related applications.
Experience with literature searches (PubMed, Ovid, Embase) and reference tools (EndNote, Mendeley, Citavi).
Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices for Medical Information and Medical Affairs content.
Excellent project‑management skills and a results‑driven approach.
Ability to conceptualize, design, and deliver best‑in‑class solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Pharm.D., Pharm.M., MD, or PhD; a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences considered.
Experience in Medical Information, Medical Communications, Medical Writing, or Medical Affairs across multiple therapeutic areas.
Strong communication skills that inspire collaboration and engagement.
Fluent in English (written and verbal) and at least one other European language (B2–C2 level).
Analytical thinking, project‑management, results‑driven mindset, innovative problem‑solving, and high ethical standards.
