To strengthen our Technical Office, we are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer with proven experience in technical project coordination, serving as the main point of contact across internal and external engineering teams, project partners, and the client.

Responsibilities

Play a key role in the pre-order phase by providing technical expertise to identify potential challenges and deviations from standard designs, working closely with Product Masters to ensure project feasibility and alignment;
Contribute to the evaluation of contractual technical specifications and ensure technical consistency and alignment of project proposals;
Support the definition of project timelines, ensuring alignment with contractual schedules and overall project milestones;
Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client, including participation in meetings and ongoing communication throughout the project lifecycle;
Oversee the scheduling of project tasks, ensuring timely execution and effective allocation of both internal and external resources;
Track and manage the progress of both internal and external design activities to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines;
Coordinate cross-functional teams-including mechanical, plant engineering, project management, and procurement departments-to ensure seamless project execution and collaboration;
Collaborate with the purchasing team to assess and validate the suitability of commercial components for project requirements;
Ensure adherence to project schedules and uphold quality standards throughout all phases of execution;
Collaborate with the Safety department to ensure design activities are aligned with applicable safety standards and regulations;
Provide on-site technical support during the implementation phase to ensure smooth execution and alignment with project specifications.

Technical Requirements

A degree in Mechanical or Management Engineering;
Minimum 3 years of experience in leading the execution of complex, medium- to large-scale industrial plant projects;
Previous technical experience in the steel industry will be considered a plus;
Proficiency in written and spoken English;
Proficiency in key software tools, including Microsoft Office and CAD applications such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
