UFI Hydrogen operates in close collaboration with industrial and research partners to accelerate the deployment of green hydrogen technologies and foster a more sustainable energy future.About the RoleUFI Hydrogen Spa is looking for a MEA Manufacturing Engineer to join its growing team in Serravalle (Ala, TN). The selected candidate will support the scale-up and industrialization of MEA (Membrane Electrode Assembly) production for both water electrolysis and fuel cell applications. This position plays a crucial role in bridging research and industrial production, contributing to the development, validation, and optimization of processes, equipment, and methodologies related to MEA manufacturing. The position reports directly to the Manufacturing Director.ResponsibilitiesThe MEA Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for :Process Development and Industrialization :Lead the development, optimization, and implementation of MEA manufacturing processesProcure and qualify production and testing equipmentDocument standard operating procedures and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Innovation and Technology Development :Identify and evaluate breakthrough technologies for MEA manufacturing and inspectionCollaborate with external suppliers for equipment design and specificationsConduct proof-of-concept trials and support procurement, commissioning, and qualification phases.Cross-Functional Collaboration :Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth design transfer from research to manufacturingSupport the integration of advanced product designs into industrial production linesMonitor process performance and propose technical improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and scalability.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent field1–3 years of professional experience in manufacturing, process development, or new product industrializationBackground in fuel cells or electrolyzer production is considered an assetExperience in process optimization, quality control, and equipment qualificationAbility to troubleshoot process or quality-related issues using analytical and problem-solving approachesUnderstanding of manufacturing workflows and safety procedures in industrial environmentsStrong observation and analytical capabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsTeam-oriented approach and proactive attitudeFlexibility, precision, and focus on resultsItalian: fluent (working language); English: good command required for technical documentation and professional communication (level ≥ B2 CEFR)OffersFixed-term or permanent, depending on experienceFull-time (40 hours / week)BenefitsDynamic and innovative working environment, internal training opportunities, meal vouchers, welfare initiatives within UFI Group, and career development in a rapidly growing hydrogen sectorWorkplace Serravalle (Ala, Trento, Italy)
