OverviewThe Materials Buyer is responsible of the purchasing activities of assigned Purchase Requisitions in compliance with Corporate and Project Procedures and under the supervision of the Purchasing Group Leader.ResponsibilitiesPreparation of bidder listsCommercial tabulation of supplier offersEconomic and contractual negotiation of orders and associated purchasing terms and conditionsIssuance of Purchase Orders and any revisionsSupport and cooperation with the Project Procurement Manager / Coordinator during the development of the supplies in case of any commercial problem with Vendors (such as claims, change order requests, Liquidated Damages discussion, etc.)QualificationsDiploma or degree in technical discipline (civil engineering)3/5 years experience in buying technical materials in engineering company or building equipment and systemsDesign experience in engineering departments is appreciatedSAP knowledge for supplies managementFluent English speaker and writerAvailability to travel in Italy and abroad
