MATERIAL PLANNER

Purpose of the Job
To secure the material delivery from suppliers by liaising on a daily basis the project planning teams (Industrial Planning and PrIDM), Sourcing Department (when it’s required) and Suppliers.
He has to lead the relationship with Suppliers assigned with the aims of ensuring the material deliveries on time and in full as scheduled by purchase orders and of tracking the KPI of the main logistics service for production with the aims of ensuring the required cost and performance targets.
Main Missions
To process purchase orders for production materials on the basis of the frame agreement with SuppliersTo establish and to manage an proper relationship with main Suppliers to secure OTIF delivery commitments for the production materialsTo manage the assigned suppliers.To set material delivery plan based on call-off methodology when it is requiredTo co‑ordinate with Industrial Planning Team a proper material delivery follow‑up, detecting potential slippage and proposing corrective actions on assigned Supplier
Objectives
Ensure “OTD” target of materials for production related to assigned SuppliersKeep the material delivery schedule in line with material project requirements for the Suppliers assigned.
KPIs
Material delivery performance measurement accuracy (methodology in place)Basic reporting system to Industrial Planning for material delivery follow upEffective reschedule of engaged purchase orders (keep low the number of expired purchase expired) for the Supplier assigned.
Responsibilities
Expediting purchase orders for all the production materials related to assigned Suppliers
Follow up and delivery rescheduling of assigned supplier and basic reporting to Industrial Planning
Requirements
University Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Logistics Knowledge / ExperienceAt least 2 years of experience in a similar positionEnglish: fluent written and spokenWorking knowledge of MRP and JIT systemPC literate with experience of MS Excel Ability to read and include/understand technical documentationDesirable working knowledge of SAPKnowledge of Railway Electronics and Signalling equipment
