Major Accident Hazards & Fire Prevention EngineerJoin to apply for the Major Accident Hazards & Fire Prevention Engineer role at RINAMajor Accident Hazards & Fire Prevention EngineerRINA is currently recruiting for a Major Accident Hazards & Fire Prevention Engineer to join its office in Livorno, Genoa, or Rozzano (Italy) within the Plant Engineering Division.MissionThis role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of Major Risks plants, contributing to the protection of personnel, the environment, and assets.Key AccountabilitiesAssessing Major Risk Activities: Conduct risk assessments for new plants or renewals according to Seveso law.Identify potential hazards and evaluate their impact on operations and environment.Provide consultancy on preventive and mitigation actions.Compile safety reports ensuring compliance with Seveso law.Manage HAZOP and SIL assessment workshops.EducationBachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.Qualifications2–5 years experience in risk assessment, fire prevention, safety management.Certifications such as CFPA Europe Diploma or NEBOSH Certificate preferred.Knowledge of Seveso regulations and hazard installations.Experience in risk assessments and mitigation strategies.Design and compliance experience with fire-fighting systems.Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.Fluency in Italian and English.CompetenciesBig picture thinking and reinterpretation of situations.Building trust and networking.Client focus and satisfaction.Trustworthiness and openness to diversity.Effective decision-making.Emotional management.Embracing change.Promoting sustainability.Forward thinking and planning.At RINA, we value diversity and are committed to equal employment opportunities and a respectful workplace.
