Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.Purpose of the JobThe main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to maintenance activities (on site or by remote) on Railway Signalling Systems operated by the Alstomdomestic and international Customers.The role includes the responsibility to be the technical Customer interface in global servicemaintenance contracts and to manage warranty obligations on the projects in the scope of Alstom Bologna beeing theWarranty work package owner in charge of QCD (quality, cost and delivery) KPI.Position in the OrganizationThe position will be part of ServicesSignalling Business UnitOrganization - Maintenance and Technical Assistance teamNetwork & LinksInternal relationships with other Alstom functions: System and Product, Application Engineering, Industrialization, Supply chain departments, Installation.External relationships with Customer infrastructure operators and maintenance technicians.Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesThe person will be responsible for:system performance monitoring;execution and supervision of HW and SW system upgrade;technical expertise with product engineering in case of unknow bug or unknown behaviour;providing Customer feedbackin order to improve products and meet Customer's needs;providing training to Customer maintenancestaff;definition and implementation of Maintenance and technical assistance plans;coordination and support to maintenance technicians on field;providingsupport to Service organization in the definition of maintenance strategy in tenders and offers;cooperation with product engineering in the definition of maintainability requirements during the product’s design phase.The position also includes the availability to perform activities outside of the Bologna Alstom site and to be part of the team that support by remote H24 the customer maintenance team.Educational RequirementsDegree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.Degree in Mathematics/Physics will be also considered.Knowledge of electronic design principle and methodologyBasic knowledge of the most common operating systemsBasic knowledge of the most common net protocols (TCP/IP, …)Capability to interpret electric drawings and schemesCapability to use test tools (oscilloscope, wave generator, multimeter, etc…) will be a plusKnowledge of railways signalling systems and principles will be a plusCapability to perform analysis and to relate information from different contextsCapability to work in team and attitude to problem solvingCapability to work in stress and urgency conditionsExperienceAt least two years of experience on Electronic/Electromechanical company as onsite or remote technical assistanceis is desirable.New graduates will be evaluated.Languages:Italian: excellent level written and spokenEnglish: good level written and spokenYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
