In our Earth Observation Business Unit, we develop state-of-the-art software solutions for Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR) applications.The candidate will become a specialist in satellite SAR, RADAR, and Optical data processing, working on real-life data, and will propose state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning solutions for new and innovative Remote Sensing applications.Our ideal candidate has proven experience in addressing Image and Signal processing problems through AI / ML tools, especially concerning image classification, segmentation, clustering, target detection, and target recognition.The candidate will be able to identify the most suitable ML solution through state-of-the-art literature research and accurately implement, train, and validate it using common ML tools.Main Tasks and ResponsibilitiesWrite robust Object-Oriented code, especially in Python;Develop self-running AI software to automate Remote Sensing image processing tasks;Research and implement appropriate ML solutions and architectures;Develop machine learning applications according to requirements;Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods through feature extraction and dimensionality reduction;Run machine learning tests and experiments;Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning based on test results;Define the best training approach, select datasets, and validate the end-to-end training system;Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks;Keep abreast of developments in the field;Work closely with R&D and Software areas.RequirementsMaster's degree in computer engineering, telecommunications, mathematics, or other equivalent technical-scientific fields;Proven professional experience of at least 3 years as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role;Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture;Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras, PyTorch, or TensorFlow);Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience in Signal / Image processing solution development;Knowledge of C / C++ and ability to integrate solutions into operational data processing environments;Knowledge of RADAR, SAR, and/or Optical systems and related data processing pipelines is a plus.Additional DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: OtherIndustry: TelecommunicationsThis job is active and accepting applications.
