OverviewAs a Logistics Manager South Europe you will lead logistics activities within South Europe Operations by driving cost & service improvements.ResponsibilitiesManage the third party warehouse and transport operations as agreed with the EMEA Logistics & Distribution Director and identify initiatives and inspire change to reduce cost, improve service and drive process efficienciesMonitor financial & service performance of these operations to ensure optimal cost and service and avoid variance from plan. Set up regular contract review meetings with third party contractors and PPG MarketsEnsure all agreed logistics operations meet Country legislation and PPG EHS / Product Stewardship requirements. Facilitate all audits (e.g. DGSA, EHS, Contract Carrier Assessment etc.) and close out actions in timely mannerHandle a Key Performance Indicator & finance dashboard for the EMEA Logistics & Distribution Operations, ensuring data is shared with the relevant teams as required.Project manage and implement the rationalisation or start up of warehousing facilities and transport contractors as requiredHandle improvements projects aligned to the EMEA strategy. Support the sharing of standard methodology between operations.Work with the EMEA Logistics and Supply Chain team, Procurement and markets to develop alternative logistics strategy to drive leaner processes, reduce overhead, inventory and cost to serve.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain & Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or equivalentFormal training and operational experience within third party warehousing and transport & general understanding of the broader supply chainAt least 5 years of learning experience within the industryOutstanding analytical skillsProficient knowledge of practices, processes and IT systems within supply chain including warehouse management systemsExperience of managing and ability to motivate change processesAbility to lead, influence, mentor and build strong work relationshipsOutstanding interpersonal with strong communication and good managerial skillsProficient in English, Spanish desirable (willing to learn)Flexibility to travel as required by the roleAbout usPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLDThe PPG WayEvery single day at PPG: We partner with customers to create mutual value.We are insightful, dedicated and proactive.
