OverviewPurpose of the job / Position descriptionEnsure that material resources are consistent with production schedules. The material planner's responsibilities are to order, create and maintain delivery schedules, coordinating with plant teams and managing external stakeholder relations.Providing site consolidated forecast to the relevant raw material category managersSupport the strategic objectives by balancing the contracts volumes assignment among the preferred suppliers and reporting them to category management.Performing transactional procurement activitiesManaging transactional procurement tasks and activities in the Procure to Pay (P2P) process area.Execute the Group procurement policies.Ensuring activities are performed according to agreed controls and processes.Support the incoming good department with a special attention to waste managementMain responsibilitiesPRICE AND CONDITION MANAGEMENT (material planning)Ensure that the Purchase orders are placed with reference to the contract when applies.MASTER DATAGather information and enter the request for vendor creation in the tool and follow up creationUpdate material information for Purchasing and general information.P2PDirect and indirect material PO management to reflect supplier delivery schedule in the system.Process and transform Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase orders (POs). Creates PO reflecting the business needs and negotiations.Acts as 1st line of contact for P2P related inquiries, issues and transactions for indirect categories. Managing purchasing document changes and cancellations, handling returnsAct as 1st line of contact for invoice 3-way matching error handling.Archiving of the signed contracts in ARIBA S2C.MATERIAL PLANNINGCalculate raw material volume requirements for annual budget based on the sales team input and communicate this volume to Global Direct Category ManagerManage the supply of materials according to the manufacturing schedule and stock levels (MRP); monitor raw materials supply schedule and manage the raw materials flow; managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.Collaborate with logistic team to manage the supply of materials according to the site logistics constraintsPROCESSES SUPPORTSuggest methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, procedures, and toolsPROCUREMENT STRATEGY SUPPORTIdentify spend not driven through preferred suppliers / Spot by alignment with the category management.Support the strategic objectives by balancing the contracts volumes assignment among the preferred suppliers and reporting them to category management.PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONManage supplier claims as well as supplier evaluations of plant according to Ahlstrom tools and procedures for Direct Materials.Track each supplier raw material delivery service.SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENTBe the first point of contact for the supplier customer service.Qualifications(minimum level of knowledge and skills to fulfill one’s responsibilities)QualificationsWork experience neededMin 2 years of experience in material planning and / or procurementProven experience in supplier relationship managementProven experience in driving and executing tasks and activities in P2PPrimary competencies (mapped to job role)Ownership mindset’ with strong working ethic and ability comply with policies and processes.Customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skillsCritical thinking, good problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet critical deadlinesCollaborative and a true team player, supporting initiatives in a proactive manner to improve own and teamwork practicesWillingness and ability to challenge own and others’ beliefs and thinking in a constructive mannerAttention to details but capability to “see the big picture” as wellGood IT skills including knowledge of SAPFluent in English and local language.Additional competencies/ Other requirementsRequires travelling to supplier meetings, sites in the same region and team meetings.Valid driving licenseAhlstrom is a global leader in combining fibers into sustainable specialty materials.
