If you want to grow your skills and develop your career, find out more atThe PositionLogistic Service SpecialistJob SummaryJOB SUMMARY / PURPOSEOptimize delivery lead-time, transport costs, and quality service focusing on customer satisfaction.Confirm goods availability to customers, discussing availability and collection data with the responsible production plant.Manage relationships with carriers and forwarders, confirming dates, checking invoices, claims, and export documents.JOB SCOPE / DIMENSIONSContribute to On Time In Full (OTIF) and customer satisfaction indicators.Contribute to claims KPIs.Maintain a safe personal environment and act safely at all times.Support location health, safety, and environmental (EHS) programs by participating in their implementation, maintenance, enforcement, and compliance.Support all STEP initiatives (Saving Together through Excellence in Purchasing) and participate actively in projects.KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESConfirm sales orders to customers after planning discussions.Ensure suppliers book transport through TMS (Transwide), issue Delivery Notes, and related documents.Manage urgent customer deliveries.Handle customer complaints where root cause analysis impacts Supply Chain.Maintain close relations with Customer Service to provide updates on goods status.Send purchase orders to suppliers, follow up on confirmations and ETAs.Control supplier deliveries, manage costs from non-conformities, and ensure re-invoicing of such costs.Anticipate and manage delivery delays and emergencies.Forward necessary documents to logistics service providers.Send input documents to accounting for invoice reconciliation.Ensure the accuracy of delivery and stock data in software.Provide loaders with short- and mid-term information on daily collections.Monitor and follow up on Supply Chain KPIs.JOB SPECIFICATIONSMinimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.Advanced SAP user, preferably Hana version.Bachelor's or Master's in International Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is a plus.Strong background in transport and export documents; experience as a customs agency or forwarder is an advantage.Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders across departments.Leadership skills and ability to coordinate small projects.Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards.Fluent in English and Italian.Position TypeFull timeFixed TermOnly technical issues will be monitored through the designated inbox.PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT RESUMES OR APPLICATIONS TO THIS EMAIL, AS THEY WILL NOT BE REVIEWED.IMERYS is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
