Position Overview
We are seeking a Programmer for our Imola office to join the team responsible for developing the soft‑PLC infrastructure on industrial PCs running Linux. The system, used across the entire MG machine portfolio, delivers first‑order real‑time performance and requires multidisciplinary skills ranging from design and analysis to problem solving and efficient, reliable solutions.
Responsibilities
Design and develop real‑time control software for industrial equipment.
Analyze and optimize existing PLC architectures on Linux platforms.
Troubleshoot production issues and propose long‑term improvements.
Collaborate closely with hardware and manufacturing teams to meet customer specifications.
Requirements
Degree in Information Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent real‑time experience.
Strong knowledge of the Linux operating system.
Experience with an object‑oriented programming language.
Preferred familiarity with C and C++.
Preferred Skills
Qt framework.
Docker containers.
Real‑time concepts and Fieldbus/EtherCAT technologies.
Version control systems such as Git.
