Apply for the Learning Support Teacher role at International School of Siena.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide in‑class and small‑group support for students with identified learning needs across PYP, MYP and DP.
Develop, monitor and review Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) or similar documentation.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and ensure inclusive classroom practice.
Conduct informal assessments and contribute to referrals for formal assessments when needed.
Maintain regular communication with teachers, parents and the Student Support Team.
Support students in developing self‑advocacy, organisational skills and effective learning strategies.
Contribute to whole‑school initiatives that promote wellbeing, inclusion and personalised learning.
Participate in ongoing professional development related to special educational needs and IB pedagogy.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

A recognised teaching qualification plus additional training or certification in Special Educational Needs / Learning Support.
Experience supporting students with a range of learning needs (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD, processing difficulties, mild/moderate learning disabilities).
Experience within the IB continuum is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of differentiation, assessment for learning and inclusive classroom practice.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.
A patient, empathetic approach and a strong commitment to student wellbeing.
The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students, families and colleagues.
