Function : Laboratory / Chemical EngineerDuration of Contract : Not indicatedMonthly Salary Range : Not indicatedAPPLICATIONRegistration is not necessaryDescription AnnouncementPosition Summary :The Chemical Engineer is responsible for all chemical activities of the site, managing laboratory operations, ensuring accurate technical analyses, and supervising chemical injection rates and stock management.This role includes overseeing lab staff, driving continuous improvements, maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and collaborating with other departments to optimize production processes.Key Responsibilities :Ensure compliance with quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.Act as Head of Treatment Function for the site: define chemical strategy, injection instructions, HSE risks, contractual strategy, etc.Control and recommend chemical injection rates for chemical treatment, manage chemical stock and ordering to ensure cost optimization and performance.Implement process improvements, test new products, optimize lab procedures, and stay updated with new products and technologies.Manage daily laboratory operations and reporting, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with client standards.Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety requirements.Ensure accurate and timely technical analysis and reporting, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.Collaborate with Production, Field Engineers, and HSE to provide safety documentation, data insights, and operational support.Qualifications :Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.At least 5 years of experience in chemical engineering and laboratory supervision within the oil & gas sector.Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, chemical injection systems, and equipment management.J-18808-Ljbffr
