Job DescriptionAs a Key Account for the Abrasive Systems Division (ASD) at 3M Italy, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.ResponsibilitiesBuilding and expanding executive-level relationships within large industrial companies, with a strong focus on metalworkingLeading complex, multi-stakeholder sales projects from discovery to deployment and post-sale value realizationOrchestrating 3M resources (Applications Engineers, Technical Specialists, Marketing, and Sales Agents) to design high-impact solutions for strategic end customersPartnering with authorized 3M Abrasives distributors to create joint account plans and deliver sustainable growthDeveloping new business with industrial automation and robotics OEMs / integrators to accelerate adoption of advanced abrasive solutionsWorking closely with the 3M Abrasives Division team to translate customer needs into technical applications and quantifiable outcomes (quality, throughput, cost, safety)Your Skills And ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements :Strong project-management capabilities : ability to scope, plan, execute, and track resultsProven experience with complex / consultative B2B sales : skilled at engaging decision-makers, coordinating all project phases (including technical trials and procurement), and maintaining long-term, value-based relationships after the saleExcellent interpersonal and influencing skills with stakeholders at both end customers and distributorsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or related field, or equivalent professional experiencePrevious sales experienceGood knowledge of the English language (written and spoken)Preferred qualificationsKnowledge of abrasive applications, welding processes, and industrial robotics / automation (preferred)Proficiency with productivity and CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, CRM platforms)Confident public speaking and executive presentation skillsJob SpecificsPrimary activity in Northern Italy, with short trips to Central and Southern ItalyIdeal candidate location is Northern Italy, preferably near 3M Italy HQ in PioltelloTravel : up to 70% within territory.
