Originally focusing on refrigerated cargo trade, our client has expanded its ship owning and ship management activities into various trades, with offices in Groningen, Vado (Italy), and Breda. This company values the improvement of people, procedures, and technical standards.The positionYou will be part of the Technical Department, working within a fleet team responsible for the daily activities of our vessels. After approximately four months of familiarization, you will be responsible for one to two vessels, reporting to your Fleet Team Manager, who will coach and supervise you.As a Junior Technical Superintendent, your responsibilities include ensuring the vessels operate safely, economically, and efficiently according to company standards. You will prepare budgets and maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs and dry-dockings, monitor expenses, and provide remote assistance to onboard management. Regular visits to your vessels worldwide will be required to assess performance and report your findings.We will provide relevant internal and external training and opportunities to gain practical experience, including visiting vessels worldwide, assisting at dry-dockings, and onboard sailing trips.
