Originally focusing on refrigerated cargo trade, the company has expanded its ship owning and management activities into various trades, with offices in Groningen, Vado (Italy), and Breda. The organization emphasizes the improvement of people, procedures, and technical standards.The positionYou will be part of the Technical Department, working in a fleet team responsible for the day-to-day activities of our vessels. After approximately four months of familiarization, you will be responsible for one to two vessels and report to your Fleet Team Manager, who will coach and supervise you.As a Junior Technical Superintendent, your responsibilities include ensuring that vessels operate safely, economically, and efficiently according to company standards. You will manage budgets, maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs and dry-dockings, monitor expenses, and assist onboard management remotely. Regular visits worldwide to assess vessel performance and report findings are part of your duties.We provide relevant internal and external training, opportunities to visit vessels worldwide, assist at dry-dockings, and onboard sailing trips. You will also visit our branch office in Italy.The goal is to grow into the position of Technical Superintendent within one to three years, managing five vessels independently.The requirementsCapacity, motivation, and ambition to grow into a Technical Superintendent role.At least one year of sea experience as a Maritime Officer or Engineer.Enthusiastic, eager, and committed to meeting company standards.Hands-on mentality with a drive for root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.Cross-cultural awareness and good communication skills.Proficiency in English (written and verbal).Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes unexpectedly.Based near Groningen or willing to relocate.EU citizen or hold a Dutch work visa.The perspectiveOpportunity to learn the role of a Superintendent within a multinational organization operating worldwide with advanced vessels.Attractive remuneration package including a good pension scheme.If you're ready to take the next step in your career, apply now by submitting your CV and application letter in Word or PDF.
