Job Description
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Junior Mechanical Integration Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks in Engineering Department. The position is based in PISTOIA - IT
Accountabilities
Carry out 3D mechanical integration analysis of all the different train components with creation of dedicated reports
Management and development of mechanical systems through the SRD supplier onboarding and codesign process
Management of full train digital mock in 3D cad software.
Development of tolerances stack up analysis and management plan to guarantee correct component mechanical integration on the train
Creation of full train assembly drawings for train manufacturing
Design of mechanical components such as welded frames or bracketry for the overall systems integration
Competencies (optional)
3D CAD software knowledge especially Creo Catia and Autodesk
Knowledge of DOORS for requirement management
Knowledge of the main office automation software / tools (Word Excel etc.)
Required Skills / Knowledge
Being able to be autonomous in short time
Capability of working with fast-changing priorities in a dynamic environment
Strong team working attitude and ability to collaborate with international colleagues and senior design experts
Desired Skills / Knowledge
General knowledge of railway vehicles working principles
Passionate about railway industry
Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations for rail vehicle design
Knowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations
Availability for short-term national and international business trips is preferred
Education / Qualifications
Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent technical background
Languages (optional)
Good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory. English language knowledge on at least international B2 level
