Junior Grants & Project Manager for Funded Projects

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven Grants & Project Manager with a strong technical background, preferably in materials science, electrical engineering, or related fields, to lead Novac’s activities in funded R&D programs. The role combines proposal writing, international collaboration building, and project management across EU, national, and international frameworks. This is a strategic position at the intersection of technology development, fundraising, and external partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new funding opportunities (EU, national, international, ESA, Horizon Europe, national calls, etc.).
Represent Novac at international events, brokerage sessions, B2B meetings, and consortium‑building initiatives worldwide.
Build strong collaborations with research centers, universities, corporates, and industrial partners.
Lead the writing and submission of proposals for R&D and innovation projects.
Manage ongoing funded projects, including planning, milestones tracking, reporting of activities, and financial/expense monitoring.
Coordinate with internal engineering, R&D, and administrative teams to ensure timely and compliant execution of all project obligations.
Support strategic decisions related to technology development and market alignment within funded programs.
Required Qualifications
MSc or PhD preferred in Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related disciplines.
Proven experience in grants, funded research programs, or project management roles.
Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
Ability and readiness to travel worldwide for events, consortium meetings, and project‑related activities.
Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while coordinating cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in batteries, supercapacitors, or energy‑storage technologies.
Additional languages beyond English.
Previous involvement in Horizon Europe, ESA, EIC, national calls, regional innovation programs, or similar frameworks.
Understanding of industrial R&D processes and TRL‑driven development.
