The successful candidate will support a renowned senior Partner and work on complex cross-border matters involving Italian tax, trusts, and estate planning.Purpose of PositionTo provide tailored advice to an international client base of high-net-worth individuals on a broad range of Italian tax and succession planning matters. The role involves technical structuring work and will require close collaboration with colleagues across jurisdictions.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver clear and commercially sound guidance to international clients regarding Italian tax structuringApply in-depth knowledge of Italian tax law to cross-border estate and wealth planningManage a varied caseload effectively, in line with level of experience and with appropriate supportDraft high-quality documentation with minimal supervisionSupport and mentor junior team members as neededBuild and maintain trusted client relationships, including with intermediaries and private individualsContribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and thought leadership within the groupParticipate in business development activities such as client presentations, events, seminars and proposalsEnsure adherence to all applicable regulatory and compliance standardsPersonal Specification:Professionally qualified in Italy as an avvocato or dottore commercialista, with at least 4 years of experience in Italian tax lawFluent in both written and spoken EnglishExperience in advising private clients on Italian tax matters is advantageous, but not essentialSTEP qualification is preferred but not mandatoryExcellent legal and commercial judgement, with an understanding of the unique needs of HNWIsStrong drafting, research, and analytical abilitiesHighly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and within a teamPersonable, client-focused, and proactive in building long-term relationshipsProficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word and ExcelPlease note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit.
