IT Verification Officer
Job Title: IT Verification Officer
No. of Positions: Two (02)
Place of Assignment: Adjumani and Palorinya District.
Reports To: Sub Program Manager and The Project Coordinator.
Starting date: ASAP
Duration of Contract: 12 months
Closing date for applications: 4th January 2026.
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Officer, the incumbent will support the day‑to‑day implementation of the targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme, Care Group activities, and nutrition‑sensitive interventions across Palorinya and Adjumani refugee settlements and nearby host communities.
Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the verification team to ensure right beneficiaries receive their right assistance through biometrics and any verification processes.
Ensure identity management of beneficiaries for their correct assistance/entitlement.
Ensure system connectivity is provided and all IT equipment and generators are functional and serviced regularly.
Provide support and troubleshooting during monthly and quarterly verification of the beneficiaries.
Reporting to LWF and WFP on daily distributions especially the GDT reports and updating SharePoint.
Work closely with WFP and INCHR IT personnel to ensure all systems are functional and elevate any issues with GDT and Server immediately for support.
Manage and ensure power/electricity is provided during distributions ensuring proper functioning electrical connections including fuel consumption, fuel provisions and servicing timelines.
Conduct downloads of the manifest to facilitate monthly and quarterly beneficiary verification.
Conduct daily and monthly data analysis to reconcile any discrepancies.
Provide access control to LMMS‑ITS, GDT to the verifiers, field monitors, officers and coordinators.
Install relevant applications to support running of corporate systems. E.g. Install FSA on mobile apps.
Control and regulate the data bundle usages during the daily verifications exercise at all locations.
Participate in mainstreaming Accountability to the Affected Persons (AAP) across all WFP and LWF activities.
Ensure data accountability to the management and key partners.
Conduct data backups for all the daily, monthly, and quarterly reports generated.
Ensure protection to beneficiaries’ data generated during monthly and quarterly verification exercise on a daily basis.
Run the routine system updates required and conduct biometric system configuration.
Run daily and monthly data consolidation and reconciliation with the FSP and Mobile Money telecom companies where necessary with GDT reports.
Provide technical support to the field and troubleshoot TEC related issues.

People and Asset Management

Organise and build capacity of the verifiers in beneficiaries’ identification, verification, and data management.
Provision of supervisory to the verifiers and monitor them.
Support in the capacity building in LMMS‑ITS system.
Generate correct and accurate daily, monthly, and quarterly reports in a timely manner.
Ensure the safety and accountability of the GDT verification assets.
Act as a liaison staff with the WFP and UNHCR IT focal persons.
Follow up with WFP IT focal persons on the CRNs list, FRNs list and Quarterly Agency Banking beneficiaries list every month to facilitate manifest download.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information System or any other related discipline from a reputable institution.
At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in beneficiary identification and verification, participatory, community‑driven facilitation skills and experience in data management with a reputable organisation.
Demonstrated ability to design/formulate monitoring tools.
At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with any of the UN‑systems for example BIMS, GDT of beneficiaries identification and verification.
Ability to follow standard business support processes and procedures.
Ability to create, manage and protect beneficiary databases.
Knowledge of standard office software packages, e.g. Microsoft Word and spreadsheet.
Ability to provide information using courtesy and tact.
Good analytical skills, report writing skills and ability to work under minimum supervision, attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral.
Good community engagement skills.
Good training skills, hardworking, calm, mature, logical, culturally sensitive, result oriented and interest in humanitarian development.
Fluency in written and oral English is a requirement, and ability to speak and understand Kiswahili, Luo and Arabic will be an added advantage.
