Job Description Summary
Join Nadara’s journey towards a renewable future. We are looking for an Insurance Manager who will own the full insurance lifecycle across Nadara’s corporate operations and project portfolio, directly reporting to the Head of Risk Management. This role is responsible for designing and executing the insurance strategy, overseeing policy placement and renewals, managing claims, supporting project development and operations, and advising and reporting to senior management on insurance‑related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Strategy & Program Management
Develop and manage the global insurance framework for Nadara and all subsidiaries.
Lead the placement and renewal of all corporate and project insurance programs (CAR/EAR, OAR, Property, Liability, Marine, Cyber, Crime, D&O).
Ensure adequate coverage structures, limits, and deductibles aligned with Nadara’s risk profile and growth plans.
Manage relationships with brokers, insurers, underwriters, loss adjusters and advisors.
Risk Advisory & Contract Support
Advise development, construction, O&M, and corporate teams on insurance implications in key agreements (TSA, EPC/BOP, O&M, etc.)
Draft and negotiate insurance requirements with contractors, suppliers, and partners.
Support M&A activity with insurance due diligence and structuring.
Claims Management
Lead insurance claims from notification to settlement.
Coordinate adjusters, OEMs, legal teams, and operational staff to achieve timely and optimized recoveries.
Provide insights on claim trends and lessons learned to improve risk management.
Governance, Reporting & Budgeting
Report insurance exposures, claims, and coverage performance to the CFO and the Audit & Risk Committee.
Prepare and manage the annual insurance budget.
Ensure compliance with insurance requirements in all jurisdictions.
Implement internal procedures, tools, and governance frameworks to improve efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Support Operations in implementing risk-mitigation measures across assets.
Partner with Procurement on centralized spare‑parts strategies, warehousing, marine surveys, and contractor risk allocation.
Work closely with Finance and Legal to ensure consistent insurance provisions across contracts.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate insurance, risk management, or insurance brokerage, ideally within the energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
Solid understanding of construction, operational, liability, marine, cyber, and D&O insurance programs.
Experience managing insurance claims and coordinating with brokers and insurers.
Ability to review and negotiate insurance clauses in commercial contracts.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Fluency in English; other European languages are a plus.
Proactive mindset, ability to work independently, and comfort operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
