As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.RoleThe Instrumentation & Controls Technician, having completed level two competencies, disassembles, inspects, cleans, repairs, calibrates, tests, and performs periodic maintenance of field instruments, equipment systems and controls. Evaluates and determines necessary modification, performs complex repairs or removal of instruments or devices needing overhaul during scheduled maintenance, and Troubleshoots while performing unscheduled work.ResponsibilitiesRecord and report abnormal function or out of tolerance conditions of equipment and initiate corrective action and documentationProvide documents daily record of inspection, maintenance activity, repair and other work performed within approved guidelines and proceduresReinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate, and maintain instruments or devices upon completion of repairsCommunicate with customer staff in the calibration, repair and operation of equipment as necessaryPerform work in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance and safety proceduresMay be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core valuesSpecial Role RequirementsField of study preferred or equivalent related work experienceMust have appropriate license or certification where required by federal, state or local lawsEnglish proficiency is nice to haveExperience in instrumentation, controls, installing, calibrating, maintaining and repairing equipment or equivalent experienceDemonstrated use and understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature, flow and pressureWorking knowledge of computersAbility to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams and specification manualsTeam player committed to working in a quality environmentWorking knowledge of computers/PLC'sExcellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to complete multiple projects within time constraintsStrong organizational skillsOpen to travel extensively (internationally and domestically)Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignmentsSkills For SuccessA formal education in Electrical Technology is good to have, but we are most interested in your total experience, professional achievements, and your can-do attitude.A strong ownership and work ethicA desire to learn and problem solveA positive can-do attitude with the ability to communicate with internal and external customersTeam player committed to work in a quality environmentInclusion & DiversityWe are passionate about creating an inclusive work environment.
