Descrizione: figura tecnica di staff responsabile della realizzazione, collaudo e manutenzione dei collegamenti primari in small‑bore tubing per strumenti su impianti oil & gas. Opera su linee aria strumenti e prese processo utilizzando fittings meccanici a due‑ferrule (es. Swagelok); i tubing sono tipici e non ingegnerizzati, pertanto il candidato deve saper interpretare layout tipici e adattare le soluzioni in cantiere.
Responsabilità principali

Esecuzione dei collegamenti tubing: taglio, sbavatura, formatura e piegatura del tubo secondo i raggi minimi tipici; installazione su strumentazione, pannelli, skid e supporti.
Montaggio fittings meccanici: installazione e serraggio di raccordi Swagelok e simili seguendo le procedure del produttore per garantire tenuta e smontabilità.
Installazione prese processo e valvole: posizionamento, orientamento e fissaggio meccanico di valvole, manifold e prese processo.
Collaudo e verifica: esecuzione di leak test e pressure test su circuiti tubing; compilazione e archiviazione dei report di collaudo.
Supporto operativo: assistenza al commissioning e collegamento funzionale agli strumenti (trasmettitori, solenoid, isolating valves); interventi di manutenzione ordinaria su tubing e fittings.
Documentazione tecnica: aggiornamento delle checklist di lavoro, registrazione delle attività e segnalazione di non conformità tecniche.

Competenze tecniche richieste

Esperienza pratica con fittings a due‑ferrule (Swagelok o equivalenti) e conoscenza delle best practice di montaggio per garantire tenuta e resistenza a vibrazioni.
Abilità nella lavorazione del small‑bore tubing: piegatura manuale, flaring, swaging, deburring e uso di attrezzi come tube bender e torque wrench.
Capacità di lettura di disegni tipici e P&ID semplificati e di applicare layout non ingegnerizzati in contesto di cantiere.
Competenze di test e misura: uso di strumenti per leak detection e strumentazione per test di pressione.
Precisione e cura del dettaglio nella realizzazione di giunzioni ri‑smontabili e nella documentazione delle attività.

Requisiti e formazione

Titolo di studio: diploma tecnico o qualifica professionale in meccanica, strumentazione o ambito affine, oppure esperienza equivalente comprovata.
Esperienza: esperienza pregressa su impianti oil & gas o impianti industriali con small‑bore tubing; esperienza specifica con Swagelok o certificazione equivalente è fortemente preferita.
Formazione aggiuntiva: corsi pratici su tubing systems o training fornito dal produttore dei fittings sono un plus.
Disponibilità: ruolo di staff con orario full time; disponibilità a trasferte o lavoro in cantiere secondo necessità aziendali.

Instrument Tubing Technician — Staff Position
Role Summary
Overview: permanent technical staff role responsible for fabrication, testing and maintenance of primary instrument small‑bore tubing on oil & gas facilities. Works on instrument air lines and process take‑offs using mechanical two‑ferrule fittings (e.g., Swagelok). Tubing layouts are typical rather than engineered; candidate must be able to interpret standard layouts and adapt solutions on site.
Key Responsibilities

Tubing fabrication and installation: cutting, deburring, forming and bending tubing to typical minimum bend radii; installation on panels, skids and supports.
Mechanical fittings installation: assembly and torqueing of Swagelok and equivalent fittings following manufacturer procedures to ensure leak‑tight, serviceable joints.
Process take‑off and valve installation: mounting, orienting and mechanically securing valves, manifolds and process take‑offs.
Testing and commissioning: performing leak tests and pressure tests on tubing circuits; preparing and filing test reports.
Operational support: assist commissioning activities and make functional connections to transmitters, solenoids and isolation valves; perform routine maintenance on tubing systems.
Technical documentation: maintain work checklists, record activities and report technical non‑conformances.

Technical Skills

Hands‑on experience with two‑ferrule fittings (Swagelok or similar) and knowledge of correct installation techniques for vibration resistance and re‑assembly.
Small‑bore tubing skills: manual bending, flaring, swaging, deburring and use of tube benders and torque tools.
Ability to read typical drawings and simplified P&IDs and apply non‑engineered layouts in the field.
Testing competence: use of leak detection equipment and pressure testing tools.
Attention to detail in producing serviceable, leak‑free connections and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Education: technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanical, instrumentation or related field, or equivalent proven experience.
Experience: prior work on oil & gas or industrial plants with small‑bore tubing; specific experience or certification with Swagelok is highly desirable.
Training: practical tubing system courses or manufacturer training is a plus.
Availability: full time staff role; willingness to work on site or travel as required.
