Import Logistics Specialist, Global Logistics
Amazon is looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist/Analyst to join our Global Logistics (AGL) team. This position is based in Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain.
AGL is dedicated to building, managing, and operating a global logistics network that enables selection from anywhere in the world and delivers customer orders to anywhere in the world cost‑effectively. As part of this strategy, the local AGL team in the EU works closely with FBA and other AGL teams worldwide to develop capacities, products, and carrier strategies that improve our offerings for sellers and expand new services.
A Logistics Specialist/Analyst facilitates the flow of information between stakeholders—including Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), sellers, customs, product managers, and supply chain teams—and resolves issues that affect seller experience and delivery performance. The role requires real‑time decision‑making, effective communication, and thorough problem resolution using internal tools.
Responsibilities
Conduct deep dive analysis of performance using internal and external data sources.
Systematically resolve problems with data integrity and follow through on resolutions.
Understand business impact of trends and make data‑driven decisions.
Prioritize, optimize, and deliver timely updates for all key metrics.
Graphically visualize data for broad audiences.
Develop automation solutions for reports, tools, and processes.
Deliver operational improvements using root cause analysis and solution design.
Maintain continual, tactical communication with external customers (carriers, vendors, suppliers) and internal customers (FBA, finance, software support, fulfillment centers).
Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Mathematics, or a similar field.
Experience in an operational environment with a proven ability to understand processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive change.
Fluent in English, written and verbal.
Working knowledge of data and analytics, business intelligence.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Mathematics, or a similar field.
Experience in performance management.
Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tools.
Project management experience.
Skills in SQL, ETL, data warehouse solutions, and databases (e.g., Minitab, Jump, Tableau, SQL Workbench).
