HR SUPERVISOR

Role Description
As HR Supervisor, you’ll support the Human Resources function by ensuring the smooth daily operation of all HR activities and compliance with company policies and Italian labor law. You’ll play a key role in fostering a positive, engaging, and high-performance workplace culture, assisting the HR Manager in all administrative and operational matters related to employees and their experience at San Clemente Palace Venice.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Supporting the recruitment and onboarding processes for all hotel departments
Coordinating training sessions, maintaining training records, and assisting with performance management activities
Preparing HR reports, maintaining personnel files, and updating HR databases
Ensuring compliance with labor regulations, internal procedures, and brand standards
Assisting with payroll preparation and time & attendance tracking
Promoting employee engagement through communication initiatives and internal events
Serving as a point of contact for staff inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
Supporting the HR Manager in implementing HR projects and strategic initiatives
What You're Looking For
Previous experience in an HR support or supervisory role, ideally within luxury hospitality
Strong knowledge of Italian labor law and HR administrative processes
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality in a multicultural environment
Positive attitude, flexibility, and a genuine passion for people
Fluent in Italian and English (other languages are an advantage)
Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and HR software systems

Role Description
As HR Manager, you will lead the Human Resources function of the resort, ensuring a supportive, high-performing, and people-centered environment. You will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, and compliance with labor laws, while acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Managing the full recruitment cycle to attract top talent for all hotel departments
Overseeing onboarding, training, and development programs to ensure continuous growth
Supporting department heads with performance management, coaching, and HR best practices
Handling employee relations with professionalism, confidentiality, and care
Ensuring compliance with Italian labor laws and internal HR policies
Managing payroll coordination and HR administrative processes
Developing and implementing HR initiatives that foster engagement, retention, and well-being
Coordinating staff housing, benefits, schedules, and employee documentation
Leading disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution when needed
Maintaining accurate HR records, reports, and systems
Supporting organizational planning and workforce strategy
Acting as a cultural ambassador, ensuring a positive and inclusive working environment
Participating in management meetings and supporting cross-department collaboration
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in HR management within luxury hospitality or a similar high-end environment
Strong knowledge of Italian labor law and HR best practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
High level of integrity, discretion, and emotional intelligence
Ability to manage sensitive situations with fairness and professionalism
Strong organizational and administrative abilities
Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools
Fluent in English and Italian (additional languages are a plus)
