This is a true Generalist role with exposure to recruiting, employee engagement, leadership development, employee relations, training, and benefits administration and performance management.This position will report to the facility HR Manager.This position will require being on-site 5 days per week.Ways you will make a differenceLead cultural change and recruiting efforts for hourly production positions; update and maintain the applicant tracking log, schedule pre-employment physicals; and write and place job advertisementsManage and resolve employee relations issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations under the leadership of the local HR ManagerMaintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance;Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retentionActively identify gaps, propose and implement changes necessary to mitigate risksChallenge the organizational structure and existing process and procedures; proposes changes as neededAssist in creation and facilitation of management training programsResponsible for the weekly administration of payroll processingImprove manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions, implementing selected solution and coaching and counseling managers and employeesMaintain employee personnel files and other departmental files in a neat, organized and secure and confidential mannerLead by example in demonstrating the Company’s operating principlesAdhere to all company policies and procedures, GMP and safety standardsPerform other duties as assigned to support Ferrara Candy Company business objectivesSkills that will make you successfulGeneral knowledge of employment laws in COBRA, FMLA, DOL and OSHAExcellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
