The ideal candidate will bring subject expertise, international-mindedness, and a passion for student-centered, interdisciplinary learning—delivered fully or partially inEnglish (C1 level required).Key Responsibilities:– TeachHistory and Geographyto students aged 11–14, with a strong focus on inquiry, global awareness, and critical thinking;– Design engaging lessons that combinehistorical context, geographic skills, current events, and comparative perspectives;– Deliver content in English, using clear scaffolding and inclusive strategies to support all learners;– Incorporateinteractive tools, maps, timelines, multimedia resources, and digital platforms to enhance the learning experience;– Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects (e.g. humanities + science, geography + sustainability, history + literature);– Contribute toproject work, research assignments, and interdisciplinary units with a focus on 21st-century skills.Required Qualifications and Skills:– Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Social Sciences, or a related field;– Valid teaching qualification for lower secondary school (or equivalent international credentials);–C1 certified level of English(CEFR);– Experience teaching adolescents in middle school or early secondary settings;– Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate students throughactive and inquiry-based learning;– Familiarity with digital tools for teaching (e.g. Google Workspace, Padlet, Canva, ThingLink, interactive maps, timeline tools);– Enthusiasm for global education, intercultural dialogue, and interdisciplinary connections.Motivational letter outlining your teaching approach and experience with bilingual/multilingual learners;Examples of lesson plans or interdisciplinary projects (optional).Interviews will be conducted between July and early August, either online or in person at our campus.EIS Versilia is committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and globally minded school community where critical thinking and curiosity thrive across all disciplines.Teach.
