Health Promotion Manager
Serves as a Health Promotion Manager responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health promotion activities through the Commands’ Wellness Programs.
Responsible for oversight of the health promotion component, carrying out the mission, functions, and policies as directed by higher authority.
Acts as an expert on health education issues, planning, conducting, and evaluating seminars, workshops, short courses, and informational meetings related to health education activities.
Coordinates clinical preventive screening and counseling components of the Wellness Program.
Keeps abreast of new information by participating in professional meetings, reading literature, and undertaking independent research to review and recommend actions.
Plans and coordinates health promotion events, developing and implementing an annual marketing plan.
Assists in policy formulation, establishes objectives, and provides guidance to staff and Naval Hospital personnel for the successful execution of the health promotion component of the Wellness Program.
Requirements

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
Must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program as outlined in DoD Instruction 1315.19.
Pre-employment Physical Examination and annual examinations required to ensure fitness for duties.
Moderate to Heavy lifting up to 25 lbs.
Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 25% of the time.
Must obtain and maintain eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

Open to US Citizens.
Basic Requirement: Bachelor's or higher degree in a related medical or health sciences field from an accredited institution.
Specialized Experience: One year of experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring health promotion activities, evaluating health education effectiveness, and conducting assessments related to health programs.
Education: Master's degree or equivalent graduate education in relevant fields such as Nursing, healthcare quality, or medical fields.
Combination of Education and Experience: At least 100% of the requirements met through a combination of education and experience.

Direct Deposit of Pay required.
Overseas applicants under ordinarily resident status are not eligible.
Child care considerations for employees bringing children to overseas locations are governed by DoDEA regulations.
