Job Summary
Head Teller (Waipahu Branch) – First Hawaiian Bank.
We are looking for a customer‑focused Head Teller to join our Waipahu branch. The role involves providing stellar customer service, processing transactions, promoting bank products, and supervising Branch Tellers.
Compensation
Pay range: $19.00–$22.50 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus sales incentives.
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (hours may vary). Saturday 9:00 AM–1:00 PM on a rotation basis.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year as an FHB Senior Teller; or
2 years as an FHB Teller with cross‑training for supervisory duties; or
1 year as a Teller (or equivalent) at another financial institution with at least 2 years of supervisory and cashiering experience.
Knowledge of retail, mortgage/loans/deposits, and wholesale banking preferred.
Excellent customer interaction skills.
Strong verbal and interpersonal communication.
Attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
Basic math skills and ability to balance cash.
Sales skills to drive business development.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with branch operations concepts, procedures, and practices.
Demonstrated team‑leadership ability.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Problem‑solving skills.
Ability to resolve complex staff and customer issues.
Exercise sound judgment.
