Each Franchise is organized by stage of development with fully empowered and enhanced teams of:Pipeline Development and Commercial Portfolio Management.Whowe are looking forPurposeReporting to the Vice President Pipeline Development AIR, the Head New Product Planning will lead the New Product Planning team to execute AIR Franchise vision and optimize pre-POC pipeline programs with market and commercial insights and assess external assets.Main ResponsibilitiesGuided by a patient centric mindset, provide future market vision and treatment landscapes for relevant disease areas in priority marketsPartner closely with Business Development to execute franchise pipeline strategyOversee all external asset screening and due diligence for the franchiseRefine commercial assessment and business case development methodology for pipeline assets to enable effective decision makingServe as the central integrator of information, insights, and perspectives from global (Marketing, Market access, Competitive intelligence, Medical affair) and regional (Region heads, affiliates) stakeholders to shape early commercialization strategyCollaborate with other stakeholders (e.g., Center of Innovation, Digital) to further pipeline developmentMaintain high level of competitive intelligence within responsible disease areasDevelop team member(s) and continuously improve internal processes and methodology where neededExperience RequiredApproximately 8 years Business/Commercial, Strategy or Corporate Development experience within the pharma/biotech/biopharma spaceExperience in financial modelling is requiredConsulting experience preferredPrevious people management experience constitues a plusExperience in pulmonary diseases and/or rare diseases preferredExperience on drug development program teams preferredExperience in global strategic marketing highly preferredEducationBS/BA in a relevant academic field; MBA, MD, PhD, or other graduate degree strongly preferredSoft SkillsOutstanding strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilitiesProven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and to build relationships with internal and external stakeholdersSkilled at navigating ambiguity and developing solutions in the absence of complete informationExcellent verbal, written and executive communication skills; ability to make the complex clearLanguagesFluent EnglishLocationThe position is based in the US with hybrid work model, combining remote work with on-site presence at one of our offices in Cary or BostonWhat we offerYou would join a dynamic, fast-growing, challenging and friendly environment.In Chiesi we firmly believe that our people are our most valuable asset, that is why we invest in continuous training, learning and development.
