Head of Brand and Business Insights Southwest Europe

The Brand and Business Insight Manager is a key member of the Southwest Europe marketing leadership team and serves as a strategic thought partner for the business. The role reports to the Marketing Director Southwest Europe (France, Italy, Iberia, Belux) while partnering closely with the Europe Africa Asia Pacific (EAA) Brand and Business Insight Director. The manager leads, inspires and empowers a team of two people and partners with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to influence brand and portfolio strategy, spurring innovative thinking to accelerate business growth for the future.
Success for this position depends on deep-rooted curiosity, a strong drive to deliver results, excellence in communication/storytelling and influencing skills, and bold, enterprise-wide thinking.
What You Will Do In This Role
Value Creation
Consumer insights & analytics: identify critical knowledge gaps relative to consumers, shoppers and the marketplace; champion solutions to address them; answer business and brand-related research queries using multi-source data; generate actionable insights to support brand and portfolio strategy; partner with Marketing teams in annual strategic brand planning and with sales counterparts to link consumer, shopper and trade insights.
Market research & trends: oversee analyses of market trends, conduct ad-hoc research projects for key business priorities, ensure efficient resource use, manage stakeholders, share observations and recommendations, and keep the Southwest Europe and EAA business informed of macro market and consumer trends proactively.
Drive for Results
Problem solving & prioritisation: consult across the business to identify where the team can make the biggest impact, proactively drive the insight agenda and collaborate with BBI counterparts in EAA to find synergies.
Market and brand reporting: deliver timely reporting on key market, category and brand developments; align on KPI measures with stakeholders; provide monthly updates on pre‑defined KPIs to steer business.
Drive EAA Insights & Performance Agenda: work closely with the EAA Insight Director and matrix partners to implement global and regional insight and performance priorities, integrating new segmentations, brand health tracking, tools, audience and media planning.
Lead & Inspire
Active member of the SWE Marketing Leadership team: help shape the department's direction, growth, talent and culture.
Provide strong leadership: set direction, identify growth opportunities, and develop talent within the direct reports and wider marketing team.
Lead a diverse and inclusive culture and ensure different perspectives are encouraged.
Team development: collaborate with HR and Marketing Leadership to identify capability gaps and deliver learning and development programs; coach the team with continuous feedback.
What You Bring To The Table
Experience with market research/category management in consumer goods
Track record of building premium brands & categories through marketing research agency and client-side experience
Excellent quantitative research skills and understanding of qualitative research, including consumer segmentation
Team leadership and strong analytical, commercial and solution‑focused mindset
Excellent presentation skills and ability to translate information into clear, concise and visually appealing formats
Self‑starter with proven ability to identify issues and projects, prioritize and manage multiple projects to completion by specific deadlines
