Company DescriptionKEPPEL MET Renewables (KMR) is a joint venture between Keppel Infrastructure and MET Group that invests, develops, operates, and manages high-performance grid-scale renewable energy assets across Western and Southern Europe, the Nordics, and the United Kingdom.By leveraging the extensive expertise of its industry leading strategic partners, KMR can effectively accelerate the growth of its renewables and low carbon energy infrastructure asset portfolio.Primary ObjectiveKMR is developing and constructing a 1 GW, geographically and technologically diversified, portfolio of operating and ready-to-build solar PV and onshore wind renewable energy assets.Job DescriptionKEPPEL MET Renewables (KMR) is a joint venture between Keppel Infrastructure and MET Group that invests, develops, operates, and manages high-performance grid-scale renewable energy assets across Western and Southern Europe, the Nordics, and the United Kingdom.By leveraging the extensive expertise of its industry leading strategic partners, KMR can effectively accelerate the growth of its renewables and low carbon energy infrastructure asset portfolio.ResponsibilitiesOwn, drive and lead origination, evaluation, due diligence, structuring, execution and closing of renewable energy investment opportunitiesProject finance activities to reach financial close, and subsequent handover of the asset to the respective development and asset management teamsDevelop and continuously improve KMR's integrated quantitative and qualitative investment evaluation and approval frameworks and processesFocus on solar PV and onshore wind acquired in different stages of development, from greenfield to later stage developmentsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders including Legal, Engineering, Finance, Power Market / Trading Team, Compliance, Tax / Structuring, and RiskPlay a leading role in the investment recommendation and approval processes, and investment committee presentationsEnsure all investment and business activities are carried out effectively and in line with internal and external policies, procedures, governance, and regulatory frameworksProactively drive internal process enhancement and operational excellence initiativesMonitor the performance and risk profiles of existing portfolio investmentsSupport project development activities of acquired projects to ready-to-build statusLeadership, mentoring, and guidance of junior members of the Investment & Development teamQualificationsMSc in Finance or Engineering from a tier 1 university, MBA and / or CFA is an advantage10+ years’ experience in an infrastructure investing environment with proven experience in solar PV; specific investment experience in wind power assets is an advantageSolid professional valuation and financial modelling experience including the creation, testing and further development of integrated financial modelsDemonstrable ability to lead and challenge projects financially (capital structuring, financial modelling, and financial advisors) and technically (consultants, technical experts), as well as lead PPA negotiationsExperience in drafting transaction documents such as letters of intent, non-binding offers and term sheets and negotiating NDAs and other transactional agreements (such as SPAs and development services agreements)Excellent communication (written and verbal) and cross-cultural interpersonal skills including the ability to build trust and relate well with a wide range of internal and external partiesStrong entrepreneurial spirit with sound understanding of investment analysis, revenue generation, and cost optimization, with a balanced approach to risk-rewardExperience in managing complex project development cycles with aggressive targets and short deadlinesExcellent analytical and synthesis, problem solving & decision-making skillsResults-oriented, highly motivated, with a solid hands-on work ethicEnglish fluency required; Italian, Spanish and / or German is an advantage
