Hardware Engineer – PCB Design
Corticale s.r.l., an innovative company in neurotechnology and advanced implantable electronic devices for clinical and neuroscience research, is looking for a Hardware Engineer with experience in the design, simulation, and realization of high-performance printed circuit boards (PCB).
Main Responsibilities

Design high-performance multilayer electronic boards (analog, digital and mixed‑signal).
Develop PCB layouts meeting signal integrity, electrical integrity and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements.
Perform circuit simulation and pre‑layout/post‑layout verification.
Support production, assembly and prototype testing.
Manage technical documentation (schematics, BOM, Gerber files, mechanical drawings).
Collaborate with the testing and validation team for system qualification.

Qualifications

Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience in designing complex multilayer PCBs.
Strong knowledge of design and simulation tools.
Familiarity with high‑speed and mixed‑signal layout techniques.
Knowledge of best practices for EMC/EMI and noise reduction.
Ability to interface with suppliers, assemblers, and test laboratories.
Experience in PCB debugging and testing using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
Good knowledge of technical English.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and a teamwork orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in medical or scientific instrumentation projects.
Knowledge of microcontrollers, FPGAs and high‑speed communication interfaces (LVDS, SPI, USB, Ethernet, etc.).
Experience with data‑acquisition systems (DAQ) or low‑noise analog front‑ends.
