OverviewWe are seeking a Hardware Engineer to take ownership of the full product lifecycle—from concept through validation—ensuring compliance with automotive standards, as well as high reliability and performance. This is a newly created position in a rapidly growing and innovative market, offering the opportunity to work on projects involving completely new technologies for electric and hybrid vehicles. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop forward-thinking solutions for next-generation mobility. Key responsibilities include the design and development of high-voltage BLDC motor controllers for automotive cooling fan applications.Your ResponsibilitiesDevelop high-voltage BLDC motor controllers, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection (MOSFETs, IGBTs, gate drivers, capacitors)Optimize designs for efficiency, thermal management, and EMI/EMC complianceRun simulations to assess circuit behaviour and thermal performance (SPICE, MATLAB / Simulink)Lead the activities for building samples and prototypes before the start of serial production; define testing requirements to validate the prototypePrototype testing using oscilloscopes, power analysers, and environmental chambersConduct EMI/EMC testing and troubleshoot issuesValidate designs according to automotive standards (ISO 26262, AEC-Q100/101)Produce final documentation for PCBA production (BOM - schematic - Gerber file - component specification)Collaborate with our international team of engineersYour ProfileBSc or MSc degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or relatedIdeally more than 3 years of relevant experience in automotive industryPrevious working experience with High Voltage power electronics (specifically automotive BLDC motor controllers) is mandatoryRelevant knowledge in areas of automotive communication protocols, DVP&R processes and automotive standardsProficiency in Altium Designer, Cadence and simulation tools (LTSPICE, MATLAB)Good English language skills are mandatory; French or German would be advantageTeamwork oriented and able to utilize his skills in a multicultural environmentProminent professional curiosity and willingness to learnOpen to occasionally travel across European and Asian locationsWhat we offerA key role in a new and innovative EV projectExposure to cutting-edge technologies and global collaborationOpportunities for professional growth and skill development
