This Position reports to: R&D Team Lead.
We are looking for an R&D HW Engineer to join the Research and Development - Special Circuit Breaker Team based in Dalmine (IT), developing and integrating embedded electronics for advanced Medium Voltage circuits in our Electrification business.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid.
This role contributes to the Distribution Solutions Division within the Electrification Business Area in Dalmine.
Responsibilities
Realize the HW design of architecture and technical details, simulate circuits, and develop electronic projects requiring knowledge of analog, power supply, and power electronics.
Optimize designs by identifying technical, architectural, and circuitry solutions and maximizing integration with the rest of the product (mechanical part, control, and sensors).
Lead prototype development, implement executive drawings, and produce the full project documentation (from pre-feasibility studies to detailed design documents); perform preliminary tests for design pre-validation; analyze quality and reliability; debug prototypes; and collaborate in integration with control firmware.
Prepare technical documentation required for production of the electronic product and support and maintain the products when requested.
Collaborate closely with other functions and suppliers, and coordinate external partners for hardware-related services when necessary.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering
You have up to 5 years of experience in embedded hardware design for industrial applications
Skilled in prototype debugging, power supply design, signal integrity, and analog signal conditioning
Experience in EMI design and troubleshooting, with proficiency in lab instruments and board reworking, and strong teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving abilities
Good command of English and Italian, both written and spoken
