Responsibility
As a Training Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in developing and improving the training material for wind turbine blades handling and logistics. If you do not have knowledge of transporting composite materials, blade parts, or whole blades, you will have a strong motivation to acquire it. You will focus on modern training systems and materials, including process vision or digital enabling systems. The training methods are focused on the receivers, with factory logistics employees in focus.

Design and optimize training material within the Handling & Logistics process.
Analyse AS‑IS and future state of our training material and systems.
Create process roadmap and plans for future states.
Define training material requirements and specifications when material shall be developed or sourced externally.
Standardise generic lay‑up training materials.
Build a culture of excellence, innovation, and responsibility.
Investigate and solve training issues using structured methods such as 5‑x Whys and Fishbone diagrams.
Apply continuous improvement principles using Lean tools to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final training material quality.

Education

Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent level.
Train the Trainer or other formal training education.

Experience

6‑8 years of developing training material primarily for unskilled workers.
Experience training shop‑floor employees.
Planning training for up to 100 persons.
Developed or defined functional training material for employees with short or long educational backgrounds.

Essential skills

Ability to assess skill gaps and define learning objectives aligned with business goals.
Knowledge of adult learning principles, blended learning, and experiential training formats.
Co‑develop content with engineering managers and subject‑matter experts.
Ensure training aligns with ISO standards, safety regulations, and internal policies.
Familiarity with LMS and e‑learning tools.
Collect input from trainees and stakeholders to continuously improve training programs.
Willingness to spend time in the factory environment to understand and solve problems.
Data‑driven decision making, using tools like 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams.
Self‑motivated, result‑oriented with strong organisational discipline.
Customer‑oriented, able to understand the complete business value chain from the customer perspective.
