Role Description
As a Guidewire Platform Expert at Capco, you will play a key role in supporting transformation initiatives within the Financial Services industry, with a focus on platform migrations, upgrades, and release management across the Guidewire suite. You will bring strong hands‑on expertise in the configuration, technical implementation, and lifecycle evolution of Guidewire products, ensuring high‑quality delivery and alignment with both technical and functional requirements.
You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including architects, developers, and business analysts, contributing technical insight and supporting end‑to‑end platform activities. You will also help strengthen the Italian competence centre for Guidewire, an official Wipro partner, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices across engagements.
We are open to both full‑time employment and freelance (Partita IVA) collaborations. This role offers a hybrid working model, requiring an indicative two days per week on‑site, depending on project needs.
Responsibilities
Support Guidewire migration, upgrade, and release activities.
Review and validate platform configurations and technical solutions.
Collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure solution feasibility and compliance with requirements.
Identify risks, inconsistencies, or optimisation opportunities within the Guidewire ecosystem.
Provide technical guidance during testing phases, including defect analysis and integration support.
Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and governance related to Guidewire delivery.
Skills And Experience
Proven experience working with the Guidewire suite.
Possession of Guidewire certifications (e.g., Guidewire Certified Associate, Specialist, Professional, or ACE) for one or more modules of the suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, Cloud/InsuranceSuite, Integration, etc.).
Strong hands‑on expertise in platform migrations, upgrades, and release management.
Ability to understand and evaluate technical documentation, architectural components, and configuration decisions.
Experience collaborating in structured project environments and working across technical and functional teams.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and integration patterns.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical topics to diverse stakeholders.
Nice To Have
Experience in governance, quality management, or testing activities related to Guidewire projects.
Knowledge of key insurance processes and operational procedures.
Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, API integrations, or cloud environments supporting Guidewire deployments.
