The Global Operational Excellence Manager is fully accountable for ensuring that the company’s continuous improvement initiatives are developed, executed, and delivered consistently across all Gualapack plants, in alignment with the corporate strategy. The role carries direct responsibility for achieving agreed performance targets and business results, even in the presence of operational complexity, resistance to change, or unforeseen negative events.
The role works closely with key stakeholders at global, regional, and site level, building strong relationships while maintaining clear ownership of outcomes. The Global Operational Excellence Manager acts with determination and authority to translate initiatives into concrete, measurable, and sustainable results, ensuring that commitments are met and value is delivered.
The position owns the Continuous Improvement strategy and is accountable for the effective deployment of Lean and Operational Excellence programs worldwide. A strong delivery mindset is essential, with the ability to prioritize rigorously, make timely and effective decisions, and proactively recover performance when deviations, risks, or execution gaps arise.
Lean Six Sigma and WCM experience are highly desirable. A solid understanding of operations and end-to-end processes is essential to drive execution excellence and ensure credibility at all organizational levels.
Key Responsibilities
Take full accountability for the delivery of Global Operational Excellence initiatives, ensuring projects achieve defined objectives, timelines, and financial and operational benefits.
Drive effective teamwork and a culture of ownership and execution excellence, leading matrix teams with a pragmatic, hands‑on, and results‑driven approach.
Translate Gualapack’s strategy into clear priorities, actionable roadmaps, and measurable outcomes for operating teams.
Plan, coordinate, and rigorously track the implementation of Operational Excellence projects worldwide (14 sites), actively managing risks, interdependencies, and execution gaps.
Work in close partnership with Regional Leadership Teams to ensure alignment, remove barriers to execution, manage unforeseen issues, and secure delivery of committed savings.
Analyze process performance and costs (productivity, efficiency, waste), hold teams accountable for results, and intervene decisively where performance deviates from targets.
Ensure effective transfer and standardization of technologies, processes, and quality procedures across global sites, with clear ownership, milestones, and validation of results.
Establish and manage a robust global benchmark for technology costs and operational best practices, ensuring insights are translated into concrete improvement actions.
