General Manager M/F - Experimental Roma - Experimental Group

About the Property
Experimental Roma will open mid‑2026 on Via Ludovisi, just off the legendary Via Veneto. The former bank has been transformed by interior designer Rodolphe Parente into a space that embodies the essence of la dolce vita—elegant, timeless, and irresistibly Italian. The property will feature 82 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, and a spectacular rooftop with a suspended pool offering breathtaking views over the cityscape of Rome.
Responsibilities
Pre‑opening & Opening Phase:
Lead recruitment of the hotel's opening team.
Oversee ordering, delivery, and implementation of all OS&E for Rooms and F&B in collaboration with the Support team.
Ensure all initial stock orders are placed and delivered prior to opening.
Collaborate with the project team to resolve outstanding issues before welcoming first guests.
Work closely with Sales to deploy opening sales and marketing strategy (marketing, distribution, yield, MICE development).
Operations:
Oversee smooth daily operation of the hotel (Rooms, Spa, F&B) with F&B Manager and Front Office Manager.
Ensure fluid communication among departments (Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping, F&B).
Represent the hotel and Experimental brand through exemplary guest engagement and service.
Participate in resolving technical issues, anticipate maintenance and renovation needs, uphold property aesthetic integrity.
Support and guide department heads in developing and improving operations.
Guarantee compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
Maintain strong relationships with external partners.
Revenue Management & Commercial Strategy:
Define and oversee revenue strategy, drive business growth.
Develop sales policy with Sales Manager.
Work with Revenue Manager to establish pricing and sales strategies.
Develop annual budgets and commercial action plans.
Align local and global objectives with Group Operations and Sales teams.
Accounting & Financial Control:
Supervise inventories and stock management.
Manage purchasing processes, control deliveries, maintain supplier relationships.
Optimize operational performance to meet budget targets.
Coordinate administrative and reporting with group headquarters.
Human Resources:
Ensure compliance with local labor laws.
Coordinate recruitment with HR department.
Oversee team scheduling.
Support professional development and training.
Encourage internal mobility.
Monitor payroll expenses, provide strategic recommendations.
Communication & Events:
Represent Experimental brand and embody its values.
Propose and implement strategies to enhance brand visibility and guest engagement.
Position property as a true destination.
About You
At least 6 years of experience in a General Manager or senior leadership role within a high‑end hotel.
Strong leadership, autonomy, collaborative spirit.
Highly organized, reliable, able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Strong commercial awareness and revenue management knowledge.
Fluent in English and Italian (French or another language is a plus).
Proficient in hotel management systems (Opera, Micros) and Microsoft Office Suite.
