Job Description SummaryAs GEA Programs Costs Manager you will report directly to the GEA Programs Program Director. You will be responsible for managing and controlling the financial aspects of both NPI (New Product Introduction) and Legacy Programs to ensure they stay within budget and meet financial objectives.This role will require a close collaboration with Program Managers and with key Avio Aero functions to ensure cost program goals are effectively flow down and acknowledged by functions. Additionally, you will engage with external customers, regularly facilitating the exchange of data related to product cost evolution and ongoing cost-optimization initiatives.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development, maintenance, and adjustment of program budgets as requiredContinuously monitor program costs, ensuring expenditures align with the approved budgetManagement of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) using Avio Aero tools and systemSupport Program Managers in identifying and analyzing cost variances, providing insights into budget deviations, contributing to define corrective actions and the monthly “estimation to complete” for work packagesRegularly monitor and report products costs to Program Director and actively support the preparation of standard work materialCollaborate with Program Managers and cross-functional teams (e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Sourcing) to achieve cost-out goals and meet product cost targets, being the focal point for regular operative rhythms executionOverview and maintain product cost reduction projects in company digital tools used to monitor product cost evolutionSupport Programs/Gate Reviews, meetings with customers and program stakeholdersIdentify financial risks/opportunities and support in the strategies execution to manage themHave a continuous active role in working with the plant community, to identify and execute on time cost reduction projects in line with customer expectations and program goalsQualifications/RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Management Engineering or EconomicsExperience in Program Management/Program-Project-Cost Management, aviation sector preferredKnowledge of Finance, Financial Processes, Program and Product CostsStrong interpersonal leadership and ability to work in a cross-functional teamProblem solving mindsetAble to develop network among peers and stakeholdersAble to prevent and identify programs critical issuesTake in charge, self-government and self-determinationAbility to document, plan, and execute established projects, and management skillsStrong oral and written English/Italian communicationItalian citizenshipWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsKnowledge of aeronautical products from engineering, manufacturing technology, supply chain perspective preferredProactive and positive approachPrompt communication and sense of urgencyWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
