Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
The Module Designer utilizes experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, affecting short‑term and long‑term goals.

Conduct concept design and technical feasibility studies in full collaboration with the whole design team
Define gearbox architecture and design intent in line with product specification targets
Lead and coordinate design activities providing inputs for components definition (mechanical/functional interfaces, stack ups and assembly checks)
Coordinate with GE Aerospace global teams and partners to ensure proper integration of the gearbox module in the engine
Define the Bill of Material (part list) and populate Configuration Management system tools
Oversee the procurement and testing of prototypes, collaborate with testing teams to validate the functionality, reliability, and efficiency of the gearbox module
Liaise closely to the Gearbox System Engineer/Module Owner to ensure program priorities are properly flow down to the design team

Qualifications/Requirements

Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university
Previous experience in Mechanical Design
Knowledge of CAD design tools (preferable NX & Teamcenter)
English and Italian fluency
Work VISA, according to local regulations is required

Knowledge of gearbox technical requirements, design solutions, technologies
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
New Product Introduction process experience
Basic FEM tools knowledge
Strong oral and written communication skills
Clear thinking and diligent approach
Good interpersonal and leadership skills
Team working and inclusiveness proven capabilities
