Who We’re Looking For
As our Functional Analyst for our Group-wide Workday deployment you will be a hands‑on functional owner for Workday design, configuration and day‑to‑day operations.
Your primary focus ideally is Advanced Compensation, while also covering other Workday modules and stabilizing the production environment.
You will work closely with the HR process owners, the Workday Product Owner and your HR technology colleagues to translate business priorities into pragmatic, compliant, user‑centric system solutions.
The role also includes vendor evaluations, project / workstream leads and leading RFPs / implementations for non‑Workday HR tools that integrate into the wider HR ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure and maintain Workday functional solutions ideally in advanced compensation, but also other Workday modules (e.g. HCM Core, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Peakon) areas.
Operate and stabilize Workday in production : incident triage, release support, and testing.
Collaborate with HR process owners and the Workday Product Owner to prioritize work, scope changes and advise on design tradeoffs.
Support vendor evaluation / RFPs and functional delivery for new Workday modules or non-Workday HR tools and their integration with Workday.
Own the functional scope of integrations and ensure reliable, auditable data flows between Workday and connected systems (e.g. SAP BTP).
Ensure data quality, governance, compliance and clear operational documentation and training materials.
Required Knowledge, Experience And Competencies
Degree in Business, Informatics, or related fields.
3+ years hands on Workday functional experience, including demonstrable exposure to at least one additional focus module (ideally Advanced Compensation), as well as broad module knowledge. Workday certifications, consulting background and / or experience in multi-country rollouts and large, matrixed organizations are a plus
Practical experience with Workday integrations, Workday studio or Workday extend and working with middleware / IT teams to deliver functional requirements are a plus.
Solid operational experience : incident management, UAT / test design, release and cutover.
Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills; able to work with HR process owners, IT and senior stakeholders.
Technical fluency for validation and troubleshooting (Workday report writer / Calculated Fields, basic SQL / data query skills; comfortable reading XML / JSON).
Good understanding of data privacy (GDPR), role-based access control and auditability in HR systems.
Structured problem solver, pragmatic, delivery focused, able to balance BAU support with strategic enhancements and to prioritize effectively across competing requests.
Fluent in English; Italian and / or German are a plus
