Overview
At Shakers, we connect top freelance talent with innovative projects across Europe. For this role, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a long-term, remote-first project focused on building a next-generation AI-powered development platform.
What You’ll Do

Design and develop scalable, secure, high-performance web applications.
Build modern, responsive UIs using React and TypeScript / JavaScript.
Develop backend services and APIs in Python or Node.js.
Work with relational (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and document databases (MongoDB).
Collaborate with AI / ML teams to integrate AI-driven features.
Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.
Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions.
Apply CI / CD practices and Infrastructure as Code.
Work in an agile, cross-functional team environment.

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of experience in full stack development in product-driven companies.
Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript / TypeScript.
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python or Node.js preferred).
Experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL and MongoDB.
Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices (testing, CI / CD, version control).
Fluent in English and Italian
Curiosity about Generative AI tools and workflows.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with developer platforms, SDKs, or AI tooling.
Familiarity with FastAPI or REST best practices.
Contributions to open-source projects.
