And now we’re expanding to help millions more drivers in the UK and Spain.To help fuel that growth, we need a Frontend Software Engineer to join our Design System team.The Pyxis Team at Prima Assicurazioni develops and maintains the company’s Design System, a library of reusable and accessible components that ensure consistency across all digital products. We support other teams in adopting the system and creating shared components. The design is created in Figma, with foundations built in SASS through internal Design Tokens. Components are developed in React and Elm, while email templates are managed with Parcel.io. Documentation is provided via ZeroHeight for design and through Storybook and Elmbook for code.What You’ll DoDevelop and maintain Design System components using best practices in frontend development.Collaborate with Product Designers and Product Managers to ensure consistency and quality of user interfaces.Resolve accessibility issues and ensure all components meet WCAG standards.Document our foundations and components and maintain the developer experience on high levelConduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, enforce coding standards to maintain code quality and ensure consistent practices across the teamTroubleshoot and debug complex issues, ensuring timely resolution and optimal performanceContribute to fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.What We’re Looking ForExcellent knowledge of HTMLExcellent knowledge of CSS, preferably SASSGood knowledge of Design Systems / component libraryGood knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript and ReactGood knowledge of UX and design topics applied to frontendGood knowledge of testing strategy and frontend testsGood knowledge of English (written and spoken)Experience in applying accessibility (WCAG) rules to frontendExperience in maintaining and writing documentationFlexibility in learning different technologies (like: Elm)Nice-to-HaveProfessional experience with ElmProfessional experience with Emails TemplateWhy you’ll love it hereWe want to make Prima a happy and empowering place to work.
