We were meant to fly.AvioAero is reinforcing the focus to excellence in aeronautical Engines and in Controls.In this spirit, we are looking for a talented and experienced Fluids System Engineer.The Fluids System Engineer plays a critical role in executing business priorities, engaging globally and with industrial and academic partners to develop advances / emerging technologies and to support significant upgrades of fielded product lines.The Fluids System Engineer role is responsible for developing, integrating, validating and certifying the fluids system and components for aviation engine applications. These fluids systems and components include the main fuel pump and metering, variable geometry actuation, air valves, heat exchangers, and thermal and dynamic modeling. Job DescriptionManage and define subsystem requirements based on Engine and aircraft ones and communicate formally to design and experimental teamDesign Fluid Systems and lead / support request from / to other controls disciplines (control, software and electric)Define certification path in collaboration with system and certification teamLead communication with sourcing and suppliers (both design and manufacturing) to ensure execution of the program planLead design team in reviews preparation and presentationInterface and collaborate with non advocate Control Title Holders (CTH's) to make sure reviews are successfully passedLead design team in prototype procurement, validation / certification testing execution and reporting to authoritiesValidates Fluidic System throughout analysis or experimental testsQualifications / RequirementsDegree in Engineering, Mechanical or Aeronautical preferredGood knowledge of Fluid System Softwares (modeling, post processing / results)Basis of Mathworks Softwares (MATLAB / Simulink) and operative systems (MS Windows, Linux / UNIX)Good experience with development of Fuel SystemsSignificant Process Substantiation (SPS) experienceFluent in English and ItalianWork VISA, according to local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsKnowledge of aviation component certification processClear thinker and effective problem solverIndependence / work without direct supervisionTeam Leadership and Program Management / ExecutionKnowledge of Thermal Management SystemPhD in fluidic disciplines will be considered as a plusBasis of CAD modelingBasis of dynamic / transient network behaviorActive Team working capabilitiesWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes smart work in hybrid mode, and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
