The AOG Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairs including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems. The AMT will make repairs and conduct tests to keep equipment operating efficiently and safely. The AMT will need to be self-sufficient and often work in remote locations exposed to the elements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all airframe and powerplant repairs and modifications required to meet company and regulatory requirements.
Remove and disassemble defective parts; assemble and install replacement parts and test aircraft systems.
Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignments.
Complete all required maintenance records accurately, including reporting times required to accomplish tasks.
Support all company policies and safety programs, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Demonstrate professionalism and deliver satisfaction to internal and external customers.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
B1 or B1 / B2 License.
UK CAA and EASA License.
Proven experience directly related to aviation (corporate aircraft experience preferred).
Type ratings on GVI and EMB550 desired.
Good working knowledge of EASA / UK CAA: Part 145, Part M, Part CAMO, Part 21.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess the legal ability to work in Europe and/or the UK and have the ability to travel in and out of the UK/EU and US, to all cities and countries where Flexjet serves.
Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively under pressure and within time constraints.
Ability to multi-task within a team environment.
Strong knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs.
Proven inspection competencies.
Detail-oriented, well organized, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ideally own a set of hand tools; specialized aircraft tooling will be provided by the company.
Valid driver’s license required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employees are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions. The noise level can be loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employees must meet the following physical requirements:
Regularly talk or hear; frequently stand, walk, use hands, and reach.
Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Frequently lift up to 5kg; occasionally lift up to 22.5kg.
Have specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
