OverviewFinish & Paint Operational Support Professional - TarantoJoin the Vestas Blades Process Engineering organization. This organization is a co-located process engineering team focused on developing and supporting the rest of the organization with subject matter experts (SMEs). It embeds skilled engineering directly into the manufacturing value stream to enable faster decision-making, deeper process ownership, and knowledge sharing. It is built on a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.ResponsibilitiesFacilitate continuous improvement on Handling and Transport processes across the manufacturing sites.Analyze AS IS and future state and be motivated to improve activities.Create and maintain a plan for improvement.Create the needed Engineering Change Notices (CNs).Lead improvement tasks / projects.Serve as case handler on an escalation process when factories cannot progress production; urgent and often critical to resolve quickly.Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and responsibility.Investigate and solve production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Why and Fishbone Diagrams.Apply continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean.EducationBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalentGB LeanExperienceAbout 6-8 years of experience in similar roles as described aboveWorked withLeading improvement tasksAnalyses Handling & Logistic processesTransport tool specificationProcess flow creationFocused on optimization and standardization within manufacturing processes using the toolbox mentioned aboveCore competencesA blend of technical, analytical, and operational competencies tailored to Handling & Transport and continuous improvementSkills in process design and optimization related to Handling & TransportWilling to spend time in the factory environment to understand and solve problemsData-Driven Decision Making; use of data analytics tools such as LeanUse of 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA to identify and solve Handling or Logistic issuesSelf-motivated, result-oriented, and disciplinedAble to build an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholdersCustomer-oriented with understanding of the full business value chain from a customer perspectiveCommitment to learningOur commitment to a fair hiringAt Vestas, we evaluate all candidates solely based on their professional experience, education, and relevant skills.
